Energy provides us with so many of the things we depend on in modern life; it underpins all of our economic activities as well as our leisure pursuits. By the year 2050, world-wide energy demand is projected to be at least twice today's level. This is why to meet this demand energy supply must be sustainable, and diverse, and the energy we have should be used more efficiently.
The Energy Strand of the ‘My Friend Boo’ series takes our young adventurers on three amazing journeys to learn about one of today’s most fundamental issues - energy. The aim is to educate and empower young viewers, giving them the knowledge they need to understand this all important issue and practical information to inspire them into action and to become more energy intelligent.
In our three episodes: The children travel to a strange alien planet and meet Klexus, who changes her mind about saving energy after an inter-galactic dance mat contest with Lucy; they visit a clean and fresh earth in the far-far future, which uses alternative ways to produce energy and travel about (flying cars anyone?!); and Ben and Jaq get on their bikes as they race Lucy to the finishing line in an unconventional game of ‘Alien Racers’.
